I like this picture – that I’ve stolen from Jim’s blog – a lot. He took it shortly after we arrived at Awenda last summer, while the rest of us dipped our feet in Georgian Bay and I inspected minnows in the shallow pools along the shoreline. These big boulders have been here for over 10,000 years. So people die or disappear, we miscarry, we lose friends, are found by others, whatever. These rocks will still be here in another 10,000 years. Life carries on.
