Can These People Really Be Trusted With Grandchildren?

We shipped our dog off to my parent’s place while the house is on the market.  We bring her home every couple nights to spend some time with us and give my folks a break.  When we were about to leave last night, Chloe ran back to my Mom and jumped up for a hug as if to say, "I’m going to miss you Granny!"

Maybe it had something to do with:

– the cheese (ok, we give her cheese too, but only sometimes)
– the toast with cinnamon spread
– the toast with Cheez Whiz
– the ice cream
– the grilled cheese

These are just the foods they confessed to feeding her and then said, "We were getting worried about her because she wouldn’t eat her kibble!"

All I know is I wouldn’t be eating kibble either if someone was preparing me toast with spread on it every day.  I find it fascinating that a piece of bread is deemed substandard for the dog, that my parents actually take the time and effort to toast it.  It’s pretty sweet in that horrifying kind of way.
