Books in 2008

Some people asked me what books I read in 2008.  They were:

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, Lewis Carroll
Into The Wild, Jon Krakauer
JPod, Douglas Coupland
The Time Traveler's Wife, Audrey Niffenegger
Invisible Monsters, Chuck Palahniuk
Blindness, Jose Saramago
The Year of Magical Thinking, Joan Didion
The Boy Detective Fails, Joe Meno
The Lover, Marguerite Duras
Pigeons: The Fascinating Saga of the World's Most Revered and Reviled Bird, Andrew D. Blechman
The New York Trilogy, Paul Auster
Late Nights on Air, Elizabeth Hay
Being Caribou: Five Months on Foot With an Arctic Herd, Karsten Heuer

I linked the books on my Recommend Highly list.

The books following I spent a lot of time on but for whatever reason (laziness) did not finish them. Except for the Theroux, I plan to:

Reading Lolita in Tehran, Azar Nafisi
Hotel Honolulu, Paul Theroux
David Suzuki: The Autobiography, David Suzuki

So, that's that.

  1. I feel slightly inferior reading your 2008 read list, considering most of the books that I read last year come from the Red Dress Ink series (ie: Harlequin). 😉

  2. T – The important thing is you read something.
Ingie – I totally read Pigeons so I could talk about them with your Dad! I thought it was a good book – He might like it!

What do you think?
