    1. I don’t remember where I heard of it in the first place, but it was a long time ago. I think the idea originally (whenever that was) is you journal about five things that you’re grateful for each day even if you had a terrible day. Focussing on the positive is supposed to improve your emotional well-being … make you a healthier, happier and more successful person. I think it is just a good exercise in realizing how full and wonderful your life already is.

      It was actually Steph who reminded me of this idea one day on Twitter when she tweeted that her calendar asked her every day at 4pm what she was grateful for.

      I’m not going hardcore with it, if it’s an undertaking I know I won’t do it, and I don’t really like journalling. But there’s a nice year-at-a-glance section in my day planner where I can write down one thing a day. I won’t have any flowery description but at the end of the year, I still think it will be nice to have a distilled bullet-point list of 365 things I was grateful for.
