PHOTOJOURNALISM

PHOTOJOURNALISM

My photojournalism explores themes of identity, social and political action and everyday life reflecting my primary beats as a journalist: culture, social justice and religion.

Inspiration

As an emerging photojournalist, I take inspiration from the work of photojournalists Inge Morath and Thomas Hoepker, particularly their coverage of New York City. Documenting the beauty, ugliness and quirkiness of the city, their work conveys a strong sense of place. Their attention to capturing moments of city life demonstrates the incredible storytelling power of the image, a characteristic I strive to embody in my work.
